I know the metaphors of a playing dead in a firing squad ditch so you can crawl out when the coast is clear to accuse your aggressors is pretty dark. Maybe I am pretty dark. Part 1 is a poem about meeting the Angel of Death and he/she looks just like you. They tell you to die, you refuse. Its really about saying that there is 'No Authority But Yourself'. I feel a lot of anger about what was cut out for me (crap school, factory, council house, kids, death) in order to keep the powerful and rich in the style they think they deserve. Fuck that. When part 2 starts kicking in I think thats everything I ever wanted this album to be.
lyrics
Firing Squad Ditch PART 1
I met myself and I realised i was death
A big mouth, dribbling lick lick lick
He says name rank serial number
Barny Smyth, Blockhead 666
You don’t get any more than that
You fat fuck you make me sick sick sick
Explicit straight jacket d-notice
Im already in solitary kick kick kick
Whats that I can hear outside?
Times up fucker tick tick tick
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
Im a nasty little accident a nasty little snitch
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
I will come when Im good and ready
Come quietly says the monster of I, I, I
Dust on a rock, thats all this is
Dont argue he says, die die die
You know Ive always hated you?
Mutual Im sure, lie lie lie
I don’t care its all the same to me
Valhalla, bye bye bye.
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
Im a nasty little accident a tiny little snitch
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
Im a nasty little accident a nasty little itch
Im staring at the sky from a firing squad ditch
FIRING SQUAD DITCH PART 2
Thieves vagabonds and carpet-baggers - will you join me in battle?
I will resist and expose my tormentors - I will not be cattle
Let there be no deceit or any disguise - I have no room for a man with pity in his eyes
I survived the Firing Squad Ditch and I accuse the powerful and rich
They think theyre safe in their compound defences
Security guards and barbed wire fences
I played dead so I would not be harmed - in my firing squad ditch - factory farmed
I survived the Firing Squad Ditch - I accuse the powerful and rich
I escaped the Firing Squad Ditch
And I accuse, I accuse the powerful and rich
I escaped the Firing Squad Ditch - I accuse the powerful and rich
I escaped the Firing Squad Ditch
I accuse, I accuse the powerful and rich
(staring at the sky from a Firing Squad Ditch)
I accuse, I accuse the powerful and rich
(staring at the sky from a Firing Squad Ditch)
I accuse, I accuse the powerful and rich
I escaped the Firing Squad Ditch - Black Spot! Black spot! The powerful and rich
I escaped the Firing Squad Ditch - Black Spot! Black spot! The powerful and rich
(lick lick lick, 666, sick sick sick, tick tick tick, III, die die die, lie lie lie, bye bye bye)
